CoEd has done it. We’ve finally arrived. We’ve made it to the Big Dance, if you will.

Ok, that might be a slight exaggeration, but we do have some exciting news to share. We recently hired a General Director for Guatemala operations, Mr. Rony Mejía. This is an exciting step forward in implementing CoEd’s strategic plan; having a General Director in Guatemala will ensure that our plan and programs are on track and as impactful as ever.

Rony Mejia, General Director

The newest addition to the CoEd team, Rony Mejia

Given the fact that March Madness (A.K.A. the greatest time of the year) STARTS TODAY, let me put this news in terms you can understand:

CoEd has just hired recruited a stellar new General Director, err, Point Guard to its starting lineup. Rony’s credentials stats rank among the top in the country and we think he is exactly what this team needs to continue its culture of winning. Rony’s natural talent shone bright in his interview training camp, and we’re just delighted that he committed to CoEd. We are all extremely excited to have him as part of our team and can’t wait to see how he enhances our mission to break the cycle of poverty in Guatemala elevates our game to the next level.

Regardless of hoop skills, Rony is a great addition to the CoEd team and is going to bring a whole lot of experience and enthusiasm to the table. As he states, “I come from a family of educators, so I have been able to experience many of the benefits of receiving a high quality education. I was a college teacher for over 15 years. I am a firm believer in education as a powerful force of change, and CoEd offers a great vehicle to support change and improvement in the education system of Guatemala.”

Plus, I hear he has mad ups.

Which team are you rooting for (besides CoEd, obviously)?
