Cooperative for Education’s mission is to break the cycle of poverty in Guatemala through education. This necessitates not only providing educational opportunities for Guatemala’s youth, but also educating others in North America who can redouble our impact through their knowledge and actions.
The Bridges Program is multifaceted and includes some of the following elements:
- Guatemala Service Learning Trips –These trips involve visiting Guatemalan schools. Each trip incorporates volunteering, cultural education, reflection and personal interaction with those served. Trips of varying lengths and difficulty levels are be offered to involve as many people as possible. Click here to learn more about joining a Cooperative for Education tour.
- Educational Presentations – Trained presenters provide interactive multi-media presentations to schools, churches, civic organizations and interested individuals about life in Guatemala, the role of education in poverty reduction and ways to help.
