Many intelligent and ambitious Guatemalan
children are forced to drop out of school because their
parents lack the resources to continue their education.
Our program provides secondary school scholarships to
deserving children. These children "pay back"
their scholarships by participating in community service
projects such as tree planting, litter collection, and
tutoring. These projects complement the students' formal
education by teaching them valuable leadership, vocational,
and citizenship skills.
CoEd's Scholarship and Community Give Back Program offers scholarships to 30 students annually at a secondary school in Santiago, Sacatepéquez, Guatemala.
We need sponsors to support our 2009 students! The cost is $500 per year. If you are interested in sponsoring a child, please contact Jessica Stieritz at 513-731-2595, x. 5 or jstieritz@fuse.net.
