We are bringing essential educational materials to thousands of Guatemalan schoolchildren each year. However, the need is still great. You can help by sponsoring a computer center, a school textbook program, or a computer workstation.
Sustainable computer centers and textbook cooperatives in Guatemalan schools need two “partners”:
- The Book/Computer Provider (Rotary International or a private foundation): Funds the “hard costs” (e.g. textbooks, computer equipment, etc.).
- The Sponsor (YOU! - A school, church, or individual): Funds the “soft costs” (e.g. teacher training, support, maintenance, etc.).
A one-time sponsor donation of $1,000 for a Computer Workstation, $2,000 for a School Textbook Program or $5,000 for a Computer Center will pay for the “soft costs” involved in launching new textbook and computer center projects in their first 1 - 2 years of operation.
Sponsorship Highlights:
- 100% of your donation goes to helping the children in Guatemala.
- Your sponsorship contribution for non-book/computer costs, along with foundation funds for hard costs, allows our projects to become fully self-sustainable in perpetuity.
- We encourage sponsors to visit their (or similar) projects in Guatemala. Click here for information about Project Tours.
- You can sponsor programs as an individual or group.
- Give the gift of learning: sponsor a project in someone's honor.
