Leave a Legacy

Make a lasting impact for generations to come.

The importance of sustainability in a non-profit organization is undeniable. That’s why a special group of supporters here at CoEd has joined together to ensure that their support will continue to bring educational opportunities to Guatemalan students for generations to come through the Legacy Society.

The Legacy Society is made up of individuals who have committed to include CoEd in their will or estate plans. These gifts help support the schools and students in Guatemala far into the future.

There are many ways to include your favorite charities in your legacy plans. The simplest and most common is to name a non-profit as a beneficiary in your will, IRA, life insurance policy, or annuity. You can choose to either designate a specific amount or a percentage of your assets to the organization.

By setting up a charitable remainder trust benefiting CoEd, we found an avenue for giving that will not only support education for generations, but also makes sound financial sense for us personally. It is truly a ‘win/win.’

I know that together, all of us who are a part of CoEd can help thousands more students receive an even better education in the years to come. That’s why my wife and I decided to leave the children of Guatemala in our will. We wanted to do good in the world, were impressed by CoEd’s efficiency, and felt peace of mind knowing that our donation would be in good hands.

It is never too soon to begin thinking about leaving a legacy. The amount one is able to leave is not important. What is important is supporting organizations that are meaningful. CoEd has and continues to do marvelous work in Guatemala to improve individuals’ lives and, as a result, the nation’s economy. That is what is important to me and why I have included CoEd in my will.
