Bringing Your Gift to Guatemala

Our talented and hardworking team ensures that we make the best possible use of your donations. We have a staff of 44 employees on the ground in Guatemala who carry out our programs. All of our program staff are native Guatemalans who know firsthand the challenges facing the country and have decades of experience building relationships with the local school communities we serve. In the U.S., our team of 14 employees is responsible for tasks like project coordination and evaluation, fundraising, budgeting, and donor relations. Our Board of Directors and advisory boards in both the U.S. and Guatemala provide leadership and strategic vision to our organization.

Partnering for Success

We maximize our impact by networking with international organizations with common goals. Our longstanding partnership with Rotary International clubs, known as the Guatemala Literacy Project, has a 25-year history of bringing educational opportunities to under-served children through the Textbook Program, Computer Centers Program, and Spark Reading Program. More recently, Canadian Friends of Cooperative for Education was formed to advance education through scholarships and teacher training. Thanks to Canadian Friends, CoEd supporters north of the 49th parallel can receive a tax credit for their donations too.
